Exquisite thermal coffee set, an iconic design by Axel Brüel for Lyngby Porcelæn.

First created in 1957, Thermodan was a revolutionary design at that time being the world's first porcelain thermo set.

Thermodan products have a double wall which proved effective in keeping beverages warm and preventing them from becoming too hot to handle.  The handleless design was a space saver in the kitchen cupboard and also dispensed with the issues of making handles from porcelain.  

For a better grip, the tall, slim coffee pot was given a discreet set of grooves around the centre of the exterior which was then duplicated on all other products in the collection.

Thermodan caused a stir in the industry and was awarded a silver medal at the at the 1960 Milan Triennale Exhibition.

Lyngby brought Thermodan back into production in 2015.
